Before, divorce was a long and complicated process, because the parties had to prove the grounds for divorce, and many times this was denied by the judge, seeing the parties obligated to continue their marriage.
Fortunately, Mexican law has made great strides in the last ten years, having as its main requirement for divorce is the willingness of one of the parties to do so.
So the main requirement that you must meet is to have the will to dissolve the marriage bond, the second point to cover, is to know what type of procedure is the ideal one to carry out the case, since many times during the process there may be changes of opinion of the parts of the process.
Surely in recent years, you have heard or read about the "express divorce" this refers to divorce without grounds, which is the one that occurs because one of the parties decides divorce, and this is granted by the authority, leaving aside the other matters related to their relationship, having to expose their claims, evidence and others, so that the judge takes everything into consideration and can issue the sentence related to the custody and custody of children, distribution of assets, etc.
In the same way, there is what is called Voluntary Divorce, which is in which both parties wish to dissolve the bond that unites them in marriage, in which, they reach an agreement for divorce, but as mentioned above, the divorce is dictated by the judge, however, in this type of divorce, you have to make things clear before dissolving the bond, drawing up an agreement on issues related to marriage, such as children, assets, debts, etc.
