Book a consultation
One conversation, in English, with the lawyer who would handle your case. You leave knowing where you stand under Mexican law and what your options cost.

What it costs
General consultation
US$100
Property, family, disputes, criminal, residency. 45 minutes, by video call or in person at my office in Mérida.
Surrogacy matters
US$200
45 minutes. These take more specialized preparation.
Pay in US dollars or the equivalent in Mexican pesos. Video consultations are paid in advance by Wise transfer; in-person consultations are paid at the office.
How booking works
- Send me the short version. A WhatsApp message or an email: what happened, where in Mexico, and whether anything has a date attached, like a hearing, a closing or a flight.
- I confirm it's something I handle. If it isn't, I'll tell you before you pay anything.
- You get available times and, for a video call, the Wise details. I answer emails and WhatsApp messages the same day. Times are given in Mérida time, which is US Central Standard Time all year. Yucatán doesn't change its clocks.
- We meet. By video call, or at my office if you're in Mérida.
What to have ready
- Any document you've signed or received: contracts, court papers, notices, emails with the other side. Photos from your phone are fine.
- Names of the people and companies involved.
- Dates: when it happened and anything coming up.
- If you're not in Mexico, tell me where you are. You will almost always need to grant a power of attorney, before a notary or at a Mexican consulate, and I'll explain which one applies.
What you get
- A plain explanation of how Mexican law treats your situation.
- Your options, with how long each usually takes.
- What it would cost for me to handle it, as a figure, not a range you can't plan around.
- An honest opinion on whether it's worth pursuing.
Questions about the consultation
Does the consultation fee count toward the case if I hire you?
No. The consultation is billed separately from the fees for handling your case.
What if I can't make it?
We reschedule. You don't lose the consultation.
How soon will I hear back?
The same day. Appointments are usually available within one to two days, and the same day if it's urgent.
Can my spouse or business partner join the call?
Yes.
Is it confidential?
Yes. Lawyers in Mexico are bound by professional secrecy, and that covers the consultation even if you never hire me.
